Designing Timber issue 10 for online - Flipbook - Page 4
Timber Development UK formed in 2022 from the
merger of the Timber Trade Federation (TTF) and
Timber Research and Development Association
(TRADA).
TDUK is now the largest timber supply-chain body in the
UK, spanning from sawmill to speci昀椀er and all points in
between. We want to create a vibrant network of timber
businesses, speaking with one voice to promote the
bene昀椀ts of timber.
Our dynamic new organisation is responding to the
growing interest in designing buildings with timber.
It is an agent of change, promoting sustainable, lowcarbon forms of construction as the UK continues its
net-zero journey.
Members of TDUK have access to a wide library of
knowledge, market data, expertise and advice, and
we’re working hard to provide you with even more
support.
We have set up exciting new partnerships with key
timber organisations and educational providers,
including Edinburgh Napier University and NMITE.
This means that we can o昀昀er everyone who works with
timber all the tools, training and guidance you need to
grow your businesses.
Together, we can promote the speci昀椀cation and use
of timber in the modern construction industry. We
are 昀椀rmly establishing timber as the premier lowcarbon building material.
